Ian completed a Law degree at Middlesex University London and went onto the Solicitors Final Examinations at the College of Law, Lancaster Gate London in 1988.

After qualifying to become a solicitor, Ian worked in the area of Private Client Law, specialising in Trusts and related taxation. He was then appointed a partner with another firm of solicitors in Norwich, before moving to Leadenhall Law Group in 1994.

Outside of work, Ian’s a keen rugby and cricket fan, and enjoys cruise holidays.
